The services of The Wellness Communtiy are offered completely free of charge to all who walk through our
doors. We are supported solely by donations from individuals, foundations and corporations. We never apply to
insurance for reinbursement. We never apply to the government for assistance. Charitable donations of any size are
always welcomed, tax deductible and used to provide our full set of programs. Although we are part of a National
organization, www.wellness-community.org, all money raised in Miami stays in Miami. Donations are gratefully accepted and should

Making a Gift
- Online Donations of Cash Gifts
Gifts of any size are received with great appreciation. If you would like to make a donation please
click here or mail a check or money order payable to The Wellness Community – Greater Miami, 8609 S. Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33143. Gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. If you would like to give in honor of or in memory of someone special, please include the name of the person you wish to remember and the name and address of the person you would like notified of your gift.
Other Gifts
- Matching Gifts
Many companies offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple your gift to The Wellness Community. When you make a contribution to The Wellness Community, please check with your company to see if it offers a program that will provide a match to your gift. - Planned Gifts
Donations made through planned giving can make a lasting difference many times larger than that which can be given on an annual basis. These gifts may also result in tax savings for the donor. Gifts can include cash and securities, retirement plan assets, life insurance and can be made in the form of simple bequests as well as more formal trust vehicles. Our Giving Tree
Major donations receive special recognition at The Wellness Community-Greater Miami. The Giving Tree, a playful and colorful carved wood sculpture created by Santa Fe artist David Ross, is prominently displayed in our living room and
is filled with leaves. Each leaf bears the name of the donor, in addition to any “In Honor Of” or “In Memory Of” information desired. The leaf is the color designated below to signify the level of giving. A "legend” explaining the various colors, and what level of giving they signify, is tastefully displayed next to the tree.

Fundraising Events
You can participate in the creation, development and production of our
Fundraisers.
Greeters/Administrative Helpers
Do you have free time during the week? We need friendly and professional individuals who are willing to work regular two-hour shifts 1-2 Xs per week answering phones, greeting our participants and helping us with various administrative tasks at our office.
Speakers Bureau
Do you enjoy public speaking? We need dynamic individuals who can present The Wellness Community program, philosophy and services to professional associations and service organizations. Training will be provided.
Community Outreach
Do you have contacts in the local community and specifically, in the medical community? We need you to help us distribute our program calendars, flyers, and brochures in doctors offices, oncology centers and during health fairs. Training will be provided. Car necessary.
